Choke Artist: The Life and Times of...

I just discovered this game randomly browsing for regular baseball games. What a great concept, and what a great game! I know I'm a little late getting on board and I hope these boards aren't comepletely dead. I would like to repeat a lot of the same points as other fans who want an ITB2. It can only get better! I'd buy it in a heartbeat

Anyway for those of you who still read this, here's my fantasy player.

Chapter One: Early Exit

I first made a name for myself when i was traded to Anaheim early in my career and allowed to play full time as their thirdbaseman. I made the AL all star team 2 times in the 4 years playing for them, averaging just under .280 with 30+ HRs a season, I was often compared to a young Matt Williams, if not better. We were a perennial 1st place team but were cursed with early exits in the playoffs, never getting past the ALCS. In my fourth and final year with the Angels we made the playoffs yet again only to fall in the first series 4-1. I had a great showing hitting 4HRs in that time. "What a clutch player!" I thought. "It's their fault we can't win in October, not me" The 4HRs made me cocky, and I blamed the team and organization for choking when it came to games that mattered "I'm the only one whose picking up the weight around here!" I was young at the time and really cocky. I went on a tirade and even went on television pointing out all the flaws and blaming certain players, coaches, and parts of our organization on our failures. A real low point of my career and something I will always regret. Our game attendance and fan interest were always at the top and our payroll was one of the highest. It was clear that Anaheim was a great baseball town and it's owners were commited to winning. But I had worn out my welcome, So I took a stab at the free agent market.

Looking back, I should have stayed... The fans, the organization, they all deserve better. To this day, I still can't shake the label of difficult player" I was just a young and arrogant up and commer who felt entitled to championships.

I was the prize to be won in the free agent market and could have my pick of which ever team I want. Eventually I signed with the Giants 2014, a lucrative deal of about $8.5 million per for the next 3 years. The Giants at the time had won the championship a few years before. Led by one of their young stars Pelumbo, who had even better stats than me. We were going to be the best 3-4 combination in the big leagues. This would be an exciting era for the Giants as 2 of the best hitters in the league were going to play together...AND in their prime! The Giants were considered a World Series team before, and now, made even better. This team was speculated to bring home the gold.

Next Chapter: The Expectations Game
