How to...baseball cards

I downloaded the '87 Topps template and extracted it into the bbcards folder. However, when I create a new card I still get the default 1990 Upper Deck looking card. What am I doing wrong?

Ask in the appropriate thread for the 1987 card template:

Hope this helps.

I did, but A. Not as many people look in there as the main forum and B. It should be the same for all bbcard templates. I just want to get a bbcard template to load in game. For some reason, mine does not.

First, it's rather bad form to post the same question in two different forums. Learn a little patience.

Second, I had the same problem, and solved it by overwriting the bb_cards directory with the ones from the 1987 folder.

Since the originals are backed up in the "originals folder", you don't have to take the step of backing up.

That may be, but I'm guessing we'll all get over it.

Of course. We have to be tolerant of the newbies and those not up to speed on forum etiquette.

Yeah, I've been playing OOTP since OOTP6. I'm a newb. Thanks. Plus I figured I shoulda posted in main forum after I posted in the other, not just for me, but since i searched and did not find the answer, it may help someone else out too. But don't look into the intent, just criticize the method.

If anybody actually wants to help this is what my bb_card folder looks like, what should it look like?

Did you or did you kinda answer while trying to backhanded slap the guy asking? I named it "how to" so hopefully if people were searching for how to do it they could get the answer. If you still want to help, cool. Just do it without trying to cut down someone else.

It should look just like that. Do you have default, all_star, and hof .xml files inside the templates folder? Are you sure the images are in the images folder inside the templates folder?

I replied in the 87 Topps thread. In reality, with the issue you're having, there's nothing that the screenshot of the bb_cards directory can tell us. The key is actually in the files within the templates directory.

But check the other thread, and that should get you working.

Yeah, it looks like this. Just extracted it to my desktop and then dragged to the bbcards file.
