Rookie draft

Is there a way, or am I missing or overlooking something in the Rules and Options settings, to have rookies debut with their actual historical teams?

If you turn off the amateur draft, then rookies will be placed on the team they debuted with. This happens in the offseason, sometime in November IIRC.
