Please Help, hope Im just being stupid

Well I have reached 09/10/2010 in my franchise, and cannot move past the day, as I keep getting this "attention" message:

"GCL (my rookie ball team) has an illegal number of players on the active roster! (8)" It says that no matter what, I have released 12 players off the team now, and it still says that. It shows the number 8 no matter who i move or release. How do I get around this? Thanks...leaving for a flight soon and I am really hoping to play OOTP on the flight instead of deal with this problem!!! Also, it is not meaning my active 40 man roster, as i have 0 rookie-ball players on my 40 man roster.

I believe turning on "minor league ghost players" in the league options would fix this. Then you can work on getting your team straightened out.

Also you should be adding more players to that team, not releasing guys.

Is this a historical league or fictional? If you're playing a fictional league, the option to use ghost players is missing and I've already logged this bug. Otherwise, the suggestion to use ghost players is a good one. You can read about that here in the online manual: OOTP Baseball Manual - Options Page
