Two bugs.

Hello people.

Does somebody know if the next update is gonna fix the standings bug? Sometimes the GB column shows totally wrong numbers.

Also, and I only noticed this once, but maybe it has happened more than once, the in-game stats (in the team substitutions window, and player status widget) show completely wrong stats for my players. My 3.00 ERA reliever showed 8.00 ERA on both of those.

Neither of those sound familiar to me. Can you provide a link to their mention in another thread or a ticket number?

I've never noticed this in my standard MLB type setup, but to be fair I am usually only looking at the top two or three teams. If it's a widespread problem I would think it would have been reported multiple times. Standard or custom league? Do you have a screen shot?

Ok, now two things.

The "bug" I reported about the game showing different stats between the substitutions screen and elsewhere, is not a bug!. I just had some splits set up on the subs screen. I'm embarrassed, sorry .

Now, the thing with the standings, I dont see how it can't be a bug. I'm playing a 40-team game. 2 Subleagues, 4 Divisions each, 5 teams each, custom schedule I downloaded from these forums.

You can notice in the attachments how the wild card standings are way wrong (as a stats fan it pains me to even look at them).

This happens both in the League Standings screen and in the BNN Standings Report.

Well, I'm no playoff expert, but it appears to me that you have four wildcard slots open, one to accomodate each division. Is that the way you have your playoff configured? Or am I way off base here?

Hmm...I see you might be onto something here.

Yes, 4 wildcard spots per subleague.

So assuming the GB column shows games behind the fourth spot...

Shouldn't the Death Valley Reapers be 1.5 games behind instead of 1, while the washingston grizzlies should be .5 GB instead of 0?

Edit:

Forget it! The Grizzlies are tied with the Lynx two rows above. The reapers are 1 game behind the first three teams listed! I get it now. I was only checking against the team listed 4th.

No bugs here after all.

I'll learn my lesson and really check things before calling things a bug.

Thanks for the help, people, and sorry for doubting you, OOTP!

Close the thread if you want

Looks a lot like the alphabetical bug in the thread link below.

http://www.ootpdevelopments.com/boar...betically.html

It may not be a bug by strict definition, but it is a flawed implementation to show teams with different winning % in alphabetical order.

Actually, this is partly what the forums are for. If it took a bit of bumping and prompting on our part, and some rethinking out loud on yours, I'd say this was a successful thread. I'm glad you found your answers.

Perhaps not a bug, but certainly the way the standings are shown could be cleaned up.

Could you post your complete standings showing the all of your divisions in full and the wild card standings? Need to see the whole thing to determine how it ought to be displayed.

Ok, so here are the standings for all 8 divisions. My resolution can't fit both them and the wild card standings..so I include the "Wild Card Standings" view in: League > Standings > Selected View.

As you can see, in the division standings, there's no case of two or more teams being tied in terms of GB with a different winning %, so they sadly don't replicate the situation of the wild card standings . Maybe further along the league, if they do, I'll catch it and post it here.

Yeah this is alphabetical. Simply put, Staten Island should be 1st on the left side and The Bronx should be ahead of Seattle on the right.

In the case of a real tie I have no problem with alpha sorting.

Hey, Killing. I like them a lot, too.

Actually, when I created that league, I picked my team's (New Jersey Mafia, as in tribute to the sopranos) logo, then picked the 39 logos I liked the most out of the ones available for download here:

http://www.ootpdevelopments.com/boar...ee-taking.html

, and then just named the rest of the teams after my 39 favorite logos Then I just put some city that could be related to the logo, when it was possible (Springfield Isotopes - the simpsons, Portland Polar Bears - lost, Alaska Bears, and so on)

The final result was quite to my liking .

Long story short, I got them for Cephas James!

If my memory serves me, this is what I downloaded:

cephasjames generic logos.rar

Check the path I mentioned on the PM; it's more intuitive
