Pierre editor question

Hello,

I'm trying to edit the team addbreviations for players in their career statistics from the new rosters put out with 2002 stats. Most of the players don't have the team abbreaviation with the 2002 stat line.

After editing it, I click on "save batting career informations", close the window and then click "save league". But when I open it with ootp4, no changes are taken into effect.

If anyone knows about this or has experienced this, please let me know if you know a way to fix it.

Thanks a lot

I know someone used pierre's utility to enter the 2002 stat lines in there so it can be done. I would just like to know how.

I used Pierre's Career stat editor, not the Player Editor to enter the stats in. I'm gonna fix the rosters, but everything has to be done manually, and it will take some time to do.

OK, I've got the career stat editor working but do you have any idea why the team abbreviations won't save in the player editor?

I just tried the career stat editor to remove some stat lines for a pitcher, but when I save it, it lists NLL next to the team abbv for every year. Is there any way around that?

Found it!

Pierre's editor for ootp2 and 3 works with the career stat team abbreviations.

Are you saying the OOTP2/3 editor works when editing team abreviations in OOTP4? If so that will solve a huge problem for me.

When I try the ootp2/3 player editor with ootp4 it never works. I get some king of "unknown picture file extension" error when loading a team or player, and when I check the roster its completely empty.

rockze,

Where did you get the player editior youre using. Maybe I'm using a different one.

Here's where I got the ones I'm using btw.

- Pierre's Career Editor (Works, but messes up the team abbv.)
- Pierre's Player Editor 2 (Give me that picture error I mentioned)

Ohh, I'm using the Player editor for ootp2/3.

You can find it at www.ootplanet.com

Go to downloads....ootp4.....then OOTP4-PE, not the pe2b.

This is the player editor for ootp2/3 and this should work. Here is the method you have to use to edit the team abbreviations and have then take effect:

When editing the player, type in the abbreviation and then click on a different year. Then you can save it. If you save it while you're still on the year you are editing, it won't take effect.

Hope this helps.

thanks rockze, got it working. thanks for the help

btw, I'm not sure if Pierre is still working/tweaking these programs or not. But it would be great if he could

1) fix the teams abbv error with the career stat editor.

2) I'm not ever sure if this is possible. But an option to globally delete every year (except specific ones you choose to keep) for every player would be really helpful. So for example, you could select to keep years 1900-1910 and delete every other (i.e. a players real life stats that are imported). does that make sense?
