Anyone have a new rule change?

I got a message saying "League officials just announced that minor league option years are no longer valid. Players can now be demoted without clearing waivers unless they have the right to refuse demotion."

has anyone seen this before or any other rule changes?

If you have the Dynamic League changes enabled, you will see that and a plethora of other possible changes (expansion, roster size, etc.). You can check all of the options out under Game Setup.

I left a few of them on and after my first season there was expansion. Of course it put Brooklyn into the South division and LA in the East but ok A couple of seasons later and I haven't had any other changes yet. As someone who doesn't play a lot solo but usually has a solo league for testing purposes these are pretty neat.

I have had a lot of changes in my league and they are pretty random, I am actually enjoying the dynamic league option.

I did turn off DH though, no league of mine will ever have the DH

Where exactly is the dynamic league option? Can it be used for imported leagues?

Not sure about part two (seems like it should be) but the option is under :Game Setup: League Setup: Options: Left hand side "Dynamically Evolving League Options"
There is a series of check boxes for things that the game engine can change such as "Expansion, Schedule, Relocation, Team Nickname, More/Less Offense, More/Less Pitching" and plenty more.

I ended up leaving all of my options turned on. Being a fictional league and just starting out, ultimately I decided I wanted it so fictional, it would even surprise me.

My league setup is very specific for a certain type of schedule so I turned that off and I got rid of the expanded roster stuff so no need for the 40 man roster size to be changed so I turned that off along with the other roster size rules. Since I sim a lot I turned DH on in both leagues and turned off the ability to change it. Not because I'm a huge fan of the DH but I don't like how OOTP handles PH for pitchers.

It's not there. I thought I read someplace that it was supposed to work with imported leagues but it sure isn't there.

Not sure. Possibly one of those things you can only do at a certain point in a season or can't do after league creation? Probably a bug though I'm thinking.

I just checked a test league I created last week and the dynamic stuff isn't there either.

Game Setup ---> League Setup ---> Options

Underneath Options the first item on the left should be Dynamically Evolving League Options w/ a checkbox "Enable automatic evolution of the league" -- Check this box to see the options.

Hope this helps.

It isn't there. One of my leagues is an historical with fictional players so I understand the dynamics won't work with that one.

The other one was one I created back in OOTP 5 and I don't recall it being historical in any shape, manner or form. The dynamics option doesn't show up at all.
