Question Regarding Historical Photo Pack
I see that all the photo names have been updated to include middle initials for players who shared the same first and last name.
However, I really do not like the fact that the middle initials were added to the database and subsequently appear in the player profiles in OOTP, so I'd like to remove them from my copy of the database. If I remove the middle initials from the database, do I also need to change all the photo names to match? This would be highly annoying and time consuming, just as it already is to remove initials in the database. I realize that this is mostly a cosmetic issue, but I find it jarring to see the middle initials displayed in the player profiles for my historical games. |

Okay, not surprising. Fortunately, I was reminded today by some old OOTP documentation that you can use player IDs instead of names. So when I go through this renaming process for the photos, I'll switch the guys with middle initials to player IDs. That way the photos will match regardless of whether my database has the middle initials or not.
