I have a league with 48 mlb teams and 2 minor league teams for each. I am in the second year. The speed of the load up is really starting to drag. Is there a way to speed this up? Is there a file that is keeping all of the news and transactions that I can clear out?
Thanks, Royals |

- Don't track box scores, logs or any of that.
- Use ghost players. - Don't generate photos once a year, just do it on demand. That'll help some, but...with a league that size, the game isn't going to cruise. That's the nature of the beast big leagues like that. |

You're not going to have much luck -- most of the problem is the player database and that's only going to get bigger as time goes on.
I have a league with 30 major league teams, 6 levels of minors for each, plus Japanese (with minors), Korean, Taiwanese, Mexican, Puerto Rican, Cuban, Dominican, and Venezuelan leagues. The database is closing in on 1 GB and load and save are slow. As darkcloud says, that's just the nature of the beast. Budget your time accordingly (hit load and go get a cup of coffee or something). |
