Point me in the direction of creating jerseys

I want to try my hand at it, I have a mac, what kind of program can I use to create these...I'm an idiot when it comes to anything like this so very easy and simple instructions would be great

Also, logos and caps as well.

Best place to find the answers you're looking for is on the MOD Forum.

I looked over there and did not see any programs or anything....Like I said since I'm new to this I wouldn't even know what to search for in the thread.

You really should poke around in the mod forum. Do a search in there on "uniform" or "cap" and read a couple of threads, they'll point you in the right direction.

As for programs, I don't really know what's available for Macs. If there's a Mac version of PaintShop, that's an option that a lot of people use very effectively. It's expensive, though, so Paint.net or GIMP (both of which are free) are popular alternatives. Really, any graphics-editing program that supports layers and transparency should be fine. I personally like the GIMP, but it's got a pretty steep learning curve, and I understand Paint.net is more user-friendly. Good luck!

I wrote a tutorial for creating caps and jerseys. It was written using Paint Shop Pro but applies to any graphic program. You can find it here. OOTP FaceGen Files. Look for my other name, Bassman58.

It has been buried deeper in the mod forum, but Deft's template that can be used with Photoshop, GIMP, etc is a great tool to experiment with. Start at about post #25 of this thread that talks about version 3.0 of his template.

Search functions work great, including a google search along these lines - "Free graphics programs for Mac".

Plenty of returns on that search.

Thanks Blue. The thing that constantly frustrates me about forums is that if someone asks a question they get ridiculed beyond belief. If this was the answer for everything and it can actually tend to be there would be no need for forums. I appreciate the help I got from the other poster as my question was a little more in depth bout programs as well as I was looking for some kind of tutorial since I've never done this before. I really can not handle the answer "look it up" or "do a google search" Good lord what happened to helping people.

It isn't that I didn't want to help you, lord knows I do plenty of that on these forums. It was me pointing you in a starting direction, that's all. Once you get the basics, such as a graphics program and a tutorial, and make some effort to learn them, then fire away with the questions. I really don't know of any other way to tell you how to find a free graphics program since I've never used any myself.

I have no problem helping people, I just refuse to do so if they refuse to help themselves first.

It's been my experience in life, that, if you do a bit of legwork and show that you're willing to put in some effort, most people will be more than glad to help you, me included.

If you search my name (in OOTP-10 forums) you can find numerous instructions and example pics that may help you. Note however that I use Paint.net (for windows) and don't know if it is available for Mac. Paint.net is similar to Paintshop in that both programs allow 'layers' in the building of a jersey design, so step one is - acquire a graphics program that allows layering.

Here are 2 links where you can start. The first includes instructions about how to build a uniform (see post #12). The second is an example of what kind of results you can get.

http://www.ootpdevelopments.com/boar...i-request.html

http://www.ootpdevelopments.com/boar...eball-9-a.html

In the following link (post #29) is an example of what a uniform design should look like when it is completed.

http://www.ootpdevelopments.com/boar...request-2.html

By the way, what Bluenoser said about the mods forum is quite correct. You should go to the OOTP-9 and OOTP-10 mods forums and read all you can about uniform design. There's quite a bit of information there - and numerous examples of various designs to give you many ideas. After that you can post any questions to the OOTP-11 Mods forum. Good luck.
