Glorious ootp season

Well i just finished up the 1984 season of my fictional league and boy was it one to remember. I did not win the championship but I had a performance that has made me love this league.

What happened was just 3 weeks into the season the reigning MVP of the league and my main offensive player on my team went out with a concussion. He ended up missing most of the year and only played 40 games. I thought i was screwed because he had recently set the single season record for home runs at 59 and had 143 RBIs. This was scary for me because I do not have alot of power in my lineup.. The catch is i forgot about the 2nd round pick i had picked up in 1981. He was rated the #63 prospect right out of college.

This year Raul Alvarez had his breakout year. After Talbot got injuered he caught fire. Winning player of the week 5 times. so to cut a long story short Alvarez finished the year winning the triple crown with a .340 average 59 home runs tying talbots previous record, and 131 rbis cayying my team to the best record in my conference.. On that note I love OOTP and i am off to start 1985!
