FOOL finishes its 105th season!

The premiere OOTP Fast sim league finished its 105th season of online play earlier this week when the Napa Valley Winemakers won their 9th FOOL title in Franchise history. Over the course of the league's history, seven different franchises have recorded eight or more FOOL titles, however no franchise has ever won it all 12 times!

FOOL runs on OOTP-X, and will remain running on OOTP-X for at least the next year. It is part of the FOOL Community, three different leagues featuring both OOTP-X and OOTP11 leagues and high owner activity levels. The FOOL Community by itself has recorded nearly 46,000 forum posts, including live sim results, articles, league discussions and general owner talk in regards to the current season.

We sim one season every real life week, over the course of five daily sims during the week. Such a schedule allows owners to have greater immersion to the league as they get to experience an entire course of a player's career. As an owner/GM you can draft a promising first round pick, nurture them through the minor leagues, call them to the majors. You can witness them first joining the All star team, being awarded a player of the year award or possibly some day being voted into the hall of fame! There are very few OOTP online leagues that allow you the opportunity of seeing your favorite player of 20 seasons breaking some legendary league record, or calling it quits.

105 seasons and 46,000 posts pretty much says it all. FOOL is unparalleled in historical depth and community involvement.

Alan and DC have done a tremendous job with chugging the FOOL train along. My sincerest thanks for the excessive time and effort both of you put in week after week.

Because of their dedication it leads to excellent community involvement. It's not uncommon to have a GM go silent now and then, but for the most part everyone chimes in for each season and playoff sim and tries to add a little something to the league.

Come join us. You'll be happy you did.
