News Listing

On the "Manager's News and Mail" screen there's an option to delete all messages appearing under each of the filters...i.e Minor Awards, Major Awards, Transactions etc without deleting the others. On the league "News Listing" screen this option doesn't exist. Just wondering if this will be possible in OOTP 13. I write a weekly summary of my league added to the "player of the week" story which comes under "minor awards". I would like to then keep these from season to season but delete all the other stuff which ends up in the almanac anyway (I think!).

Realise that this may well be a very minority request

but just thought I'd post it anyway.....feel free to ignore it completely!! Really looking forward to the release of the new version.

On the topic of News Listings, I have a total of 706 News Listings in my version 13. Every one of these listings were generated in my version 11, then conveyed to version 13 when I converted from 11 to 13.

Now, 706 News Listings have got to be taking up alot of memory that I could otherwise use for other purposes; therefore, is there any drawback in deleting all 706 News Listings from the game?

Since I'm in between seasons right now, I figured it would be an ideal time to delete these things if it would have no detrimental affect on the game itself.

And while I'm at it, is there a method to mass delete these listings instead of having to delete them one item at a time?

I think that you can mass delete by going (out of the game) to OOTP Developments/Saved Games/Messages and selecting all.....perhaps someone else will confirm this. My original post was to request the option to delete all messages under certain filter categories and be able to keep others.

I was reading the manual under the heading of "Almanac" this morning. According to the manual, these News Listings will automatically clear/delete themselves at some point during either the off season or preseason. If that's the case, I'll just let nature take its course instead of fooling around with the files.
