How would I set up this league?

This may be outside the realm of possibility, and it may be confusing. I'll do my best to explain what I have in mind.

The inspiration is to set up a "true" world series and pro league with teams from multiple countries. This is what I see being the issue. Each team would be restricted to only use players from their country. How can you restrict a team, for example, from the USA to ONLY use American players?

Here is an example of what I'm thinking, a sample 32 team league off the top of my head.

Division 1
5 American Teams, 2 Puerto Rico, 1 Canada

Division 2
2 Mexico, 2 Cuba, 2 Dominican Republic, 2 Venezuela

Division 3
4 Japan, 2 Korea, 1 Australia, 1 other Asia/Oceania team

Division 4
1 Italy, 1 Netherlands, 1 South Africa, 1 China, 1 Taiwan, 1 Panama, 2 other countries

Then I'd have a small international playoff. Ideas?

EDIT: I'd also like to have real life players too.

Make sure that you set each team to have the nationality of each team set up the way you want it to (in the 'names and affiliations' tab at the game creation screen). Also, make sure you set foreigner percentage high (I'd say like 60-80%), and unless you edit the nations.txt file, the US will be by far the best country. Anyway, in the 'rules' tab, change the 'foreign player limit' dropdown menu to 'no foreigners allowed'. Then, a new dropdown menu called 'base limit on' will pop up. Set it to 'team nationality', and then teams will only be able to draft players from their own country in the inaugural draft and won't be able to acquire players not from their country.

This is brilliant and straight to the point, thank you!
