Moving from historical to fictional
My plan with my league is just to sim baseball history up to 2006 or so and then start playing games while being able to look back through almanacs and uncover the alternate history of baseball when I feel like it.
As I'm simming, I have AAA, AA, and A minor leagues, without the need for full rosters and thus no fictional players. Is there anything I should do as the present approaches to incorporate fictional players into the game as I near the present and eventually start running out of real players? I would presume I ought to just go in and start allowing fictional players...is there anything else, or a more precise set of instructions anyone can offer? Thanks! |

Just allow fictional players, and uncheck "import real players" as there won't be anymore after 09.

I may be overthinking here, but I don't want to get stuck with something screwed up after all the simming and almanac building up to the present. But is there any need to uncheck recalc buttons or do anything of that sort? I don't want the game to flip out trying to recalc off real life stats when there aren't any. Keep player development working right for the most part, etc.
