Logo Request (Louisville Eclipse & Oxford Scholars)

Hey, I need two logos made, and I hope it's not that much of a hassle for all you expert logo makers.

My first request is the Louisville Eclipse. I want it to be black and white and mysterious looking (potentially a white moon on a black background being engulfed by an even darker object?)

The other request is for the Oxford Scholars. I want this one to have a more modern feel. A baseball on a tannish background with a piece of papyrus halfway wrapped around it with the word "OXFORD" in black would be nice. If you can't do that, that's fine.

If you have another design you would like to try, I'm open to it. Who knows! It may be better than my own vision!

I hate to be too literal here and/or not meeting your vision. However, here is my attempt at the Louisville Eclipse (drag it, you can see the 'eclipse'):
