Negro League players, Gibson and Paige

Are Satchel Paige and Josh Gibson in the game anywhere? I would love to go back and start their careers from the 20's and 30's. Even Papa Bell

Cooperstowns negro league roster set is the only template I know of.

Go to Padresfan Mods,

go to OOTP, and then Databases.

Gambo's Database and Spritze's OOTPX Database will have them.

Okay, great! What if I wanted Paige and Gibson for example to come up when the rest of Major League baseball doing a historical sim starting earlier in time?

For example:

I start a sim in 1915

Anyway I can have players like Gibson and Paige come up when they would have into the major leagues?

I have just been looking through the manual, and I can't find anywhere where I could do this.

Using the Spritze db (and the Gambo one I believe) all the included Negro League players will start their careers when they should/did in real life.

Fantastic! Now how do I download into an OOTP game? haha, I have NEVER been able to import a new roster.

Create a new historical league with the db you choose using the instructions provided on screen or in the manual.

my favorite is that big one in the upper right that was added 10/10/09, 24.2 MB. That for sure has both of them, plus tons of early Japanese players starting in the 40's-50's that never played in the MLB.

Gibson will debut in 1929, Satchel in 1925.
Oscar Charleston is before 1920, as are some other amazing guys.

Best best, just start in 1908 or so.
