moving teams/deleting teams

In terms of realignment, If I moved a major league team to the the minors what would happen with the low level teams within that organization? Would I be able to move a minor league team to take its place? Or create a new team with expansion to take it over. Any thoughts?

Great question- if anyone has done this, I'd like to know if it can be done too. I added 6 teams but was scared to promote a minor league team or try it. So I made 6 new teams and just left the minor league teams be. even though I'd like them to be major league teams one day. Maybe in the next expansion?
