Infield Fly Rule

I've never seen or heard of it, but what happens if after the umpire signals that this is the case the catch is bobbled and dropped?

Batter is out still.

Runners always advance at their own discretion.

Dropping/bobbling is the reason there is an infield fly rule. Infielders would purposely drop it and get the double play. Every once in awhile you'll see fielders still drop it on purpose as to try and trick the runner into thinking he has to go. I haven't ever seen it work.

Well this did actually happen when I was pitching in JV. Except my 2B, lost in the sky weaved around like a drunk and had it fall at his feet essentially about 5 feet behind where he was before the pitch.
