mysql- historical league/playoff winners?

It doesn't seem like the exports have this. The league_history table doesn't contain it. Am I wrong? I hope I'm wrong!

team_history has two fields: made_playoffs, won_playoffs. It doesn't get granular like who won the NLCS or Playoff Round #37. But it will tell you if the team won the whole thing.

Alas... doesn't seem like there's a way to see who lost to the team where the winner's won_playoffs is 1, is there?

Unfortunately, no. You end up needing to archive the games historically to do that.

Also- any idea what 'best_pitcher_id' corresponds to? It's not the Cy Young award, or at least it seems not..

Do you use Windows and would it matter if it was in csv?

If the answer to both is yes, I can add a quick button to my playoff editor to dump playoff history to csv.

CSV would be great, but alas I'm on a Mac. Can I see the code to your editor? How do you dump this information out? Do you use the .dat files?

I'd love to write some equivalent tools for the Mac.

There must be something odd about the format of Mac .dat files because I've downloaded a league that was done on a mac and the files wouldn't read in until I had loaded the game up in OOTP and saved it out again. Obviously the game knows what the difference is, but I don't have a mac to work it out.

Is there any kind of information out there on the structure of the .dat files?
