Is Zimmerman still on the team? He did pretty good one year as closer. With him and Urbina, they could have the start of an ok bullpen.

Yeah, their bullpen could be allright. Then there is the starting pitching.

With this acquisition, they have almost started on the path to being close to trying to assemble a semi-decent pitching staff.

Problem is that SP is VERY expensive, and they have 1/4 of a $100m payroll tied up in one player. I doubt they get close to assembling a good staff as long as that contract exists.

Its a shame, unless the Rangers put up 20 runs and the Rangers staff get a lucky night and only allow 18, Urbina won't get any saves.

Urbina will definetely get his save chances this year... Of course they will all be when the game is 12-11 in the Bottom of the 9th.

The Rangers just added Esteban Yan to that pen.. things may be turning around for them if they can get someone to pitch the first 6 or 7 innings....
