AVG Park Factor Not Functioning Properly
I outlined this issue in my post in the discussion forum located here. I won't reproduce that entire post here, as it's rather massive, unless the staff wants me to for easier reference.
The summary of the issue: When the AVG factor for a park is adjusted, there is absolutely no effect on Batting Average or on BABIP in that park. Instead, when the AVG factor is increased, doubles and triples are decreased, and when the AVG factor is decreased, doubles and triples are increased. In essence, what the AVG factor is controlling is the percentage of hits that are singles - while the overall number of hits stays the same. So a higher AVG factor means the same number of hits, just more singles. This is almost certainly not how the AVG factor was intended to work. It seems to me that changing the AVG factor in a ballpark would increase or decrease the BABIP within that park. I'm unsure if this was an issue in previous versions of OOTP, or if it's new to OOTPX only.
