BZ 3310: Spring training games occur on opening day

I have spring training and regular season games on opening day. This is my second season of a historical league I started in 1982. I did not edit the schedules in any way. During the first year I released all players and had a fantasy draft.

I have the 10.1.14 patch.

I noticed this was closed on 6-16, however my occurence happened after that and with all three patches installed-----my league is a historical sim beginning in 1950----in 1951 the first three days of the regular season had both spring training and regular season games played---in 1952 the anomaly was only on opening day-----I have done nothing with the schedule process at all, simply started the game, no tinkering----this is annoying as the spring training game uses your no 2 starter and the second regular season game uses starter no 3 causing your no 2 starter to be passed over until game 6 of the regular season---I know this is happening to others from this thread so I sure hope someone looks into it

Its been logged in bugzilla. Markus had originally marked it as later, but after a discussion with some other beta testers I reopened it and let him know its more serious than he originally thought.

Spring training has always been 24 games. The problem occurs in Historical Leauges. My first league I started in 1962 and in 1963 spring training ended at 22 games and the regular season begins the next day. The problem is that the two extra spring training games start on opening day. I started a new historical league in 1965 and in 1966 the same problem occurs. I am importing the historical schedules and when I go to the Baseball Reference site and check the real schedules it shows them to be correct two days after OOTP starts the regular season. I will check and see if the season is still 162 games long but I will have to wait till this is fixed to play a correct historical season

I can't play this game right now as there is a season that has more that 162 games due to this situation. Can someone please look at this.

I am not one who complains and I have been on here for many years and you always get to problems as fast as you can but I still can't play a historical league without this schedule problem and it has happened in more that one league I have created. I also noticed that someone else had the same problem and that thread was closed due to that person mot getting back to you. I do a historical league and not having the right schedule or having the game start the season with two exhibition games left has made playing the game impossible can you at least let me know you are looking into this problem

Have started historical leagues in 1950, 1938, & 1965. In all leagues spring training games are scheduled after the start of the regular season. Have not touched anything re scheduling--just using schedule provided by game----reported before, thread was closed reported again and thread dis appeared afte receiving reply that the issue had been given a BZ #----this totally destroys the historical league experience--game is unplayable as historical sim

Targy, this was posted as a problem by ROBC and never resolved and Jarmenia posted it as he was able to duplicate it and logged a bug BZ 3310 in bugzilla on 6-24, however the logged bug has disappeared and it appears no one is paying any attention to those of us interesdted in historical sims. I'm more than a little disappointed, as you can see from my total post number I don't complain often, but as someone who has purchased every single season since the original game came out this type of non-response and non-help is discouraging at best.

I have the same problem, each team has a Spring Training game and a Regular Season game on the same day for the first two days of the season.

I am always patient with the technical support and have been since OOTP1 but this is the first time I have has a problem where it is impossible to play a season and no one has addressed this since I first posted on 6/30th and this seems to be a problem that was first noticed on 6/21

I will continue to be as patient as I can be but my patience is running a little thin..

Please someone address this problem
