Game not starting

Not sure why this thread was closed as the "heavy artillery" mentioned by Steve never showed up.

I am still unable to get the game to start when I double click on the icon. Past versions of OOTP have worked on my laptop but OOTP10 has not worked for me since day one.

Kemp, I know you've covered every base imaginable, but would you mind looking this thread over- again -if you haven't already. There were a couple of users with XP who managed to get running, having the same application error you had at one point, with the info they reference in the Vista thread.

I know some of this you've tried before, but let's take another run at it, specifically the DEP AND the Runservice items. I know you've done the first, but I'm not sure about the second. In any event, take a look.

I have downloaded the game--haven't bought it yet--and when I go to click on the icon for OOTP10, it comes up with an error message. I am trying it on my MacBook so I wonder if that has something to do with it. I read through the thread, but I get the feeling I need to try something completely different with a Mac.

Can anyone offer any help?

I've had the game and it has been working fine. Now, I tried to open one of the leagues I'm in it gets to 100% and an error message saying OOTP has stopped working pops up. Anyone have insight on what is happening? Let me know...it might be that my computer is in need of time.

Other folks, we'd appreciate it if you could open separate threads for your problems, which may not be the same as Kemp's.
