BZ 3241: State of scroll bar lost when returning to page

When viewing a player and then going back to the lineup page the page does not lock. For instance if you go to the bottom of the page and view an outfielder and then right click to go back to the lineup page it does not lock

It looks like if you make any lineup move or any other action the whole page refreshes and resets the player list back to the top-- if you wanted to be viewing for instance your outfielders at the bottom of the list and had scrolled down to them, every action scrolls them out of sight again-- very annoying. By the way-- this was working nicely in version 2009.

Hi folks,

Sorry for the slow response, tough to keep up in the early going!

Just to clarify, is this only an issue with the scrolling resetting to the top of a list?

For example, you aren't losing your views or filters or anything when you come back, right?

Thanks,

Steve

I'm not sure if this is by design or not, but I will ask Markus to take a look at it. It's BZ 3241.

Thanks!

Can you try this?

1. Close OOTP
2. Navigate to the \data\tables directory in your installation directory.
3. Back up any files you might have in there.
4. Delete the entire tables directory
5. Restart OOTP
6. See if the problematic behavior continues

Let me know what happens!

Note: Even if this works, it will probably kill any custom views and filters you might have, and it may reset some other settings such as scouting drop-downs. If that's problematic, you could restore the backed up copy of the directory!

I'm not sure if this is the same thing or not, but I've noticed that whenever you use the drag and drop feature, the scroll bar resets to the top of the window from which you have selected the player. For example, when dragging players into a hitting lineup. Or when selecting players in the manual award voting screen (actually it's the receiving window that resets there).

I seem to remember this was a bug in an earlier version and was fixed for some screens. I'd say the problem is more pervasive this time around. It's a minor annoyance, not a major disaster.

I have only experienced this in Shop Player, but it is an annoying glitch.

This issue has been fixed in the upcoming patch, although it has not yet been verified by a tester...

Just FYI,

Steve
