OOTP unable to find... anything
Okay, I don't know why this started, but it did work and just stopped one day, so I am thinking it must be something on my computer itself that has changed. When I start OOTP, I start getting error messages, and must hit OK on all of them, every time. I've already uninstalled and re-installed, and then re-downloaded the installer and tried it again. Here are the messages I get:
Could not find /facegen folder. Facegen will be disabled TEMPLATES_ENGINE::load_template_file - cannot open template file manual_page.tpl TEMPLATES_ENGINE::load_template_file - cannot open template file manual_page_footer.tpl TEMPLATES_ENGINE::load_template_file - cannot open template file manual_page_botton_line.tpl TEMPLATES_ENGINE::load_template_file - cannot open template file boxscores_page.tpl TEMPLATES_ENGINE::load_template_from_cache - could not load templates TEMPLATES_ENGINE::load_template_file - cannot open template file head_bits.tpl NATION::import_flag_image - unable to move down into nation_flags directory (I have to hit OK on this one some 230-odd times) All of these files and folders are still there, so I have no idea why OOTP can no longer find them. All I can recall changing was to update my video and audio drivers, which came directly from the websites of NVIDIA and Creative, so I cannot imagine that being related.

I found this same problem on my machine. I didn't change any drivers though. All I did was patch from 10.1 to 10.2.

Fixed it. I had to uninstall, download and run the free trial of RegSupreme to clean the registry, and only then re-install.

Frankly, I'm a bit surprised it was a registry issue or that it was related at all. In the few opportunities I'd had to explore this incident, I'd connected it with the Tables folder and thought something might have changed in X to cause this in a choice few.
In any event, good that it's behind you. Thanks for reporting the fix. Even though you had to do without any help, I'll close the thread as fixed!
