Complete Newbs

Guys, I am new to this game and I have some questions.

Schedule - I downloaded a file from Padresfan but it didnt load the proper file and can't get it to work. How do I install it. I just put it in the folder or do I have to delete the other file?

Logos - Some logos actually load but some teams, such as the Yankees, their logo is something different yet it is in the actual folder.

Photos - Again, most load but some do not. Actually, some photos do load, but some are weird; ie: sometimes a player has a photo of the league, not their face.

Simming - Is there a way to sim so that it sims where I ask and NOT ask me every few games to read something or make a decision?

Can't really help with this one.

The game will look in the "Logos" folder first for a logo. If the Yankees are nnot loading, check the Mets, Cubs and White Sox they may not have loaded eeither. The problem here is that the game is looking for logos named exactly as the team is named. Sometimes teams are named "New York (A)" for example, while the logo is named "New York" This will not automatically load because they are different. These easiest way to fix it is probably to go into the "Team Options" and click the Edit Team colors and Logos button. You can then load the team logo from there. The other option is to rename the files to match the exact name of the team.

More than likely this is the same problem as the logo issue above. The only option for fixing this is when you see a player without a picture, go into your photos folder and find the picture, then make sure the file is named exactly as the players name appears in the league. The team (or league) logo appearing on some players is just a placeholder and indicates that the game ccould not find an image for that player.

Go to your manager options screen. In the left-hand column toward the bottom there are options about when to stop the sim. Uncheck those options and the sim will not stop. You might want to make sure someone (i.e. the AI) is handling those decisions you are ignoring. (Or not, your call.)

I can gice you a general idea, but someone else will have to fill in the specifics since I usually play with fictional players, not rosters.

You need to unzip the roster file (assuming you are talking about one of the edited lahman databases) into a folder on your hard drive. It can be wherever you want, but remember where you put it. You then create a new historical league and point it to that folder before it imports. This is the part where someone else may have to help. I can't remember where that button is located. (I am at work and don't have the game in front of me.)

EDIT: I just noticed you said "up to date rosters". The above info is not correct for that. I believe those come as a quickstart. Just unzip the folder, then when the main screen comes up in the game, hit "create league from quickstart" and point it to the right folder.
