Hickory Baseball League Opening (Colorado Rockies)

The Hickory Baseball League is seeking an owner for the Colorado Rockies franchise as it enters its 32nd season. Started in July of 2001, the HBL has been running for eight real-time years and sims every Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday at 12:00pm EST. We feature a live playoff sim, custom draft and free agency software, and a variety of other add-ons that I have coded over the past few years personally. Starting with 24 teams, we contracted to 20 in 2023 and recently expanded back to 24 in 2029 and 2031. The Colorado Rockies are one of those expansion teams.

The Rockies tasted success early in their history, winning a playoff series in their second season. Built around slugger John Berry, the team had winning seasons in their first two years before taking a step back last year. With improved pitching, this is a team that could turn around quickly in a division that produced a sub-.500 champion last season.

The 2032 Opening Day will be this Friday, before we resume our normal sim schedule (we have had a long offseason due to my work trip to China and the implementation of a new free agency system). I would like to get a new owner in place by then so please contact me on AIM at Glass4DotCom if you are interested. We are probably going to run OOTP 9 for one more season and then upgrade to OOTP 10. Thanks!

This is a first-class league that's run by two guys who really have a passion for it. Recommended.

With the low turnover that is seen in the HBL, these opportunities do not come around very often.
