OOTP News Ticker scrolling along the top

Never seen this before w/ windows 98' but XP is a different story...

Not sure this has happened to any other Windows XP users but the OOTP news ticker scrolls across the top instead of the bottom for me. Its pretty annoying because it blocks the drop-down menus, league date, minimize, & shutdown button along the top of the screen, just the one page where the standings are displayed.

Theres just enough (text), so since I'm familiar w/ OOTP I can partially see the white text across the top to know where the three menus at the top are. I can't see the league date all at.

The only way it looks normal is if I am in "full screen mode".

Any Ideas or should I learn to like it?

-Johnny

Posted by Maverick,

"Been running on XP for quite a while without any major problems. Minor gripe is that is the news ticker at the bottom of the screen won't scroll properly in windowed mode but works ok in full screen."

This is pretty much my problem, except I can't see the league date.

I made a mistake earlier the ticker in on EVERY page...

Something weird happend just right now, it disapeared? Could this be, is it gone?

Nope,

Its back and seems like everytime I minimize it to post here again its gone!!!

Its playing games with me now...

Still won't permanently go away..

Seems like after five minutes it just goes away..

If anybody figures out how to fix the news ticker scrolling along the top, lemme know!!

Try toggling your DirectX settings... who knows maybe that will do something.

I have a new computer with xp but haven't tried ootp4 on it as I still play it on the old compaq with 98se. Has anyone with this problem tried running it in win98 compatibility mode through xp? If so did it work?

I have XP on a secondary computer and am having the exact same problem as Calikrazy. But I can't mess with DirectX settings because this computer is 250 miles away from me

I have zero problems running STB2003 on WinXP Pro. I have Direct 3D enabled and Full Screen disabled. 1024x768 resolution and 16 bit color.
