BZ 3333: Doubleheader box scores are duplications

When I play a doubleheader, the scores appear correctly in the calendar, but clicking on them gives the same box score for both games ... so a 5-2 win and an 11-2 loss I would get either one or the other of the box scores twice.
I'm guessing it's probably overwriting game one with a second version of game two's box score, but just noticed this as I went back to update my dynasty, so I haven't noted which score is saved as I played.
So far, it's happened in all four doubleheaders ... playing a historical league, no mods made to the schedule.

Edit: I found a game one boxscore saved in the starting pitcher's game log, and can confirm it is the game two box score appearing twice ... the game one box score is still in the system, just not linking correctly in the calendar ...

Yeah, this was also the case in OOTP9. Don't know if it ever got on a fixit list. The work around is to go to the League Scores and Schedule page. Go back a day if you have to. But you will find both games of the doubleheader on that page, and you can look at the box scores of each game with no problem.

Thanks Steve. Makes it much easier than counting backward through my rotation to guess which pitcher started Game 1.
Seems like it should be a simple enough fix, though ...

Probably would have been fixed, if the MLB still played doubleheaders, or if OOTP had them due to rainouts. Just something to get on the list eventually.

Rondell,

Thanks for your post, and sorry for the delay in getting back to you. The first few weeks after the release are always pretty busy around here!

I logged this as BZ 3333, and we'll see if we can't get Markus to take a look!

Thanks,

Steve

My guess is that it's a holdover from earlier versions of OOTP which did not, officially at least, support doubleheaders, although you could schedule them and they would be simmed by the game.

Speaking of which, there are a number of little fixes which could be applied to doubleheaders, such as distinguishing between single-admission doubleheaders and separate admission doubleheaders (e.g. day-night affairs). Single-admission doubleheaders means one ticket gets two games, thus attendance is identical for both games but ticket revenue is only generated once, while separate admission doubleheaders means both games are separate events, with their own ticket sales, attendance figures, and ticket sales revenue.
