What to disable to preserve hd space?
I'd like to sim for about 80 years and have all the players stats, but don't want to eat up 20GB of hard drive space. Somehow that's exactly what happened today while I was at work.
It looks like archiving news items is a big space problem. Suggestions on keeping space to a minimum? EDIT: Ok it looks like the yearly Almanac was turned on. My bad. I'd like to delete the 20GB of data that's built up without disturbing the game. Possible? Last edited by Crimguy; 06-10-2009 at 12:37 AM. Reason: Cause I'm an idiot? |

You can safely delete the Almanacs.

Something that I have been seeking for a long time is better control about what is and is not saved at a league level. I generally play in commissioner "God" mode which means that I don't have a "Human League" and I play a full international universe. I would like the choices to save box scores, news items, etc to be available as part of the setup for each league.
Right now I have three options: 1 - Save the items that I want for my primary major league but have the same items saved for all items in my universe (lots of HD space) 2 - Save HD space by not saving anything or only selecting a few items. 3 - Jam in a fake manager so that the major league is officially a "human league" so that I can save only for that league. I don't like this option at all because I like to see managers' history and it bugs me to see the fake manager. |
