Yesterday's leagues, today's minor leaguers
Is there any way, say, I start with the 1986 season. As I work my way towards 2009, I can get the ballplayers that are in the league today? Pedroia, Ellsbury, Howard and such or am I just stuck with the fake minor leaguers that are bound to be made for later years.

Just do the normal import from the DB and make sure you have use ghost players. No fictional players will appear. We begged for it and Marcus gave us that.

You're quick at these replies, thanx.
Now, can you explain how to do it? Dave

Just do a standard historical league, and the players will be automatically imported as the seasons progress (well, up until the database ends, at which point fictional players get generated). You can opt to have them either placed on their real teams or dropped into a draft pool.

I was just using 1986 as an example. As a Red Sox fan, why don't I start at 1903 when the Red Sox won the very first World Series. LOL
