Would it work if i am in my league, and i decide to just make my own schedule day by day? In other words, could i delete the games scheduled for that day, and put in my own games? I would like to include more off days and end up with around a 90 game regular season. Can this work?

You can make your own schedule (check out the 'My Documents\Out of the Park Developments\OOTP Baseball 9\schedules' directory for examples). But I believe it's locked in at the beginning of the season, so you can't change it day-by-day.
