Question Missing week, or was it all a dream?

So I'm cruising along in my season, late July. Go through the trade deadline, sign a couple of minor league free agents to shore up my short-season team. End up around August 4th or 5th. Shut down the game. Come back this morning, and... it's July 28th all over again.

Anybody ever seen this before? I've looked around a bit and it seems that it's just like the week didn't happen. Don't think player stats were kept, standings seem to be set back a week. Kind of annoying, although I don't think anything monumental happened in the missing week. Is this a sign of something ominous or sinister? Do I need to worry about lasting effects or this kind of thing repeating?

Wow...never seen that. Do you by any chance have a player named Bobby Ewing in your league?

I've seen it happen in Vista when it crashes ie it goes back to the last saved state. So if it is Thursday and you saved on Sunday it would go back to Sunday as a result of the crash. That doesn't appear to be your issue at all. Strange.

Was July 28th the last time you saved (or quit the game)? In which case, the game apparently didn't save the latest time. If July 28th is some random day, then you have an even bigger puzzle. Although I understand there is a new TV show starting up soon, in which everyone in the world blanks out for a couple of minutes or so. Could be you got a preview.
