Pitching Rotation Order?

Hi I recently bought the game and have started a historical game and I have a question regarding pitching rotations.

The game seems to keep skipping two of my starters. It tends to replace them in the pitching order with two of my middle relievers. Which by the way is really annoying since the two guys it keeps skipping are Javier Vasquez and Bartolo Colon, circa. 2002. They weren't injured, and I've tried everything I can think of to get them in the order, from reordering the rotation, placing them in the spot starter role, changing the number of guys in the rotation, changing from strict order to highest rested guy. I've even asked the manager to adjust my pitching rotation to see if that helped. Unfortunately, nothing I seem to change makes a difference, they keep getting skipped over roughly 50~75% of the time. I simmed through a whole season (daily simming, not mass simming) and my other three starters each had 30 something starts, Colon and Vasquez had 20 starts combined, and two of my middle relievers had the rest.

I would appreciate any help, otherwise I might as well only have three starters and just buy good middle releivers.

Two things:

Are Colon and Vazquez at the top of your rotation? If they're NOT, you may want to take a look at the box just below that and make sure it says "Strict Order". (you said you did this already)

Clear out your spot starters completely. Don't put anyone there.

Hi Alfino, thanks for replying. I did try and place both at the top and choose strict order but it still bumps those guys in the rotation. I've tried putting the two of them in every order I can think of: 1/2, 1/3, 1/5, 2/4, 3/5, 4/5, etc and it made no difference. I've also tried where I have no spot starters listed but it still likes to start two of my middle relievers that are listed as MR's. I've even tried changing the order and position these guys play, moving one to closer, and it still thinks they need to start over Colon and Vasquez. I also checked and made sure that both of the MR's were listed as MR's for their position.

About the only thing I havent tried is demoting the MR's to see if it fixes the issue or they are just replaced by two other MR's.

It's really annoying me to have two top starters that wont start. I may just have to start over with a different dynasty

We are having this exact problem in our online league. The #1 starter is pitching two days in a row every six days or so, and it is skipping the #2 and #3 starters. The rotation looks like 1-1-4-4-6-6 or something.

Should this thread be moved to the technical issues section?
