Attendence problem #2
I'm using 9.2.11.
I have an 8 team league with no subdivisions that uses the new customized playoff where #1 plays #4 and #2 plays #3. I found that teams in 4th or 5th place see bad declines in attendance as the season goes on, particularly if their records are sub .500, even though they are in playoff contention. In one example, Long Beach was in 4th 2 games ahead of Detroit in 5th and the final two games of the regular season pitted Long Beach at Detroit! Detroit has fan interest of 60 and very good loyalty and ballpark size 43,800 and $15 average ticket price, which is the average ticket price specified in game setup, with a game setup attendance average of 30,000. Only 11,000 attended both games which Detroit won to force a one game playoff with both teams tied at 74-80. But even the playoff game in Detroit only drew 11,000. I think these game should have been better attended. Last edited by bailey; 01-04-2009 at 04:57 PM. |

Attendance problem #3
I'm using 9.2.11.
A team in my league had total attendance of 2,065,154 in 1902. In 1903, the attendance fell to 1,759,467, but the game says "+2.4% change from 1902", when it should be -14.8%. (No playoff games were involved either year). |

According to Markus the formula is (current year - last year) / last year but the examples people have given don't match that. |
