Want to hold files on External Hard Drive
Hello,
I have recently purchased an external hard drive to hold all of my personal files on so that I don't keep slowing down my work laptop with them. I've had success with most of my files but I'm not quite sure what to do about my OOTP league files. I'm in the World Baseball Hierarchy, its an 88 team league with full minor leagues. Theres a ton of history for that league, tons of images, and the file is frankly pretty huge. Is there a way for me to store the "Save Game" file on my External Hard Drive and have the game load it from there, rather than from "My Documents." Thank you. Bobby

I'm not sure that it will work for external drives, but have you tried:

I think thats new to OOTP9. ![]() Anyone else have any ideas?

I tried putting a shortcut to my external drive in the place the OOTP folder was in "My Documents" --- but that just crashed the game.
Any other ideas?

If you uninstall and reinstall to a custom directory, the saved game files will be placed in that custom directory instead of My Documents. However, again, there may not be support for external hard drives.
