Jets/Giants Super Bowl

Their would be a problem when they get to there Championship Game if they are both the Home Teams because they both play in the same Stadium. I guess play one on Saturday and the otehr on Sunday or play a Game at Shea Stadium or the Yankees former home if they aren't torn down before then.

Hes got a point though. They might be the hottest 2 teams, or at least 2 of the hottest right now so there is the outside chance both could make their respective championship games. Not sure how the NFL would respond to this.

I dont think it should matter. The other team has to play on the same field.
Might have to start the late game a little later so you dont have fans from the first game trying to see the game for free. Other than that i think it would be pretty neat thing to happen. Especially if they both won.

I'm pretty sure they tore the Polo Grounds down a while ago.

Wouldnt be too much of a problem Jets would play the 12 o clock game on Sat (lesser watched time slot) and Giants will play the 3pmCST game on Sunday(most popular time slot) Im sure the NFL has explored all possibilities like this and have it well planned out

I'm not so sure the Jets would play in the less-watched time slot because of Ratings Booster Favre.

Good point. It just seems to me that fox gets the better time slots and tend to heavily favor the NFC East for good enough reason.

Opponents would probably factor in as well. I doubt they will make an Western team play an early game unless it was absolutely necessary.

Maybe he actually meant a polo field.

No, actually you threw up in my mouth, and I threw that up.

<--- Pats fan.

The Giants look great and might repeat, but I think Brett "Bad Picks In Every Big Playoff Game" Favre will blow it for the Jets. They're not as good as Pittsburgh, and I don't think they can beat New England 2 of 3 times, despite the Patriots injuries everywhere.

Don't they usually play the NFC and AFC Championship games on the same day though. That's what would create the problem, which could be fixed by a Saturday/Sunday schedule that week.

Yeah, they've always played the two Conference title games on the same day.

If it were to happen, whoever it is that gets pushed to Saturday will talk about it being a disrespect and a booster toward success in the Super Bowl.

The NY media will eat it up.
