Mark Cuban Baseball - In early stages

It's official, Major League Baseball has blocked Mark Cuban from purchasing a franchise once again. But this time, Mark is ready to lash back at the MLB for years of mistreatment...

Cuban has founded the Mark Cuban Baseball Association, a sixteen team professional baseball league where he will seek to fix the problems that have plagued major league baseball for the past few decades.

The MCBA will have a few key rule changes that will level the playing field, eliminate the use of performance enhancing drugs and make tickets more affordable for the average middle-income baseball fan.

Objective 1: Level the Playing Field
$80 Million Salary Cap, $10 Million Cash Cap
Equal Markets and Fixed Media Contract for Every Team

Objective 2: Eliminate the use of Performance Enhancing Drugs
Suspensions will be turned on with strict penalties for first time offenders. The first offense will get you a one year suspension and 5 point loss of Fan Interest. If you still want to keep a steroid offender on your roster it is a huge risk as the player will receive a lifetime ban and you will be docked 20 points of Fan Interest if he violates the policy for a 2nd time. Note that anytime you sign a former offender to a new contract fan interest will drop 5 points.

Objective 3: Make Baseball Affordable for Middle-Income Fans
Ticket prices capped at $15. If you want to make money then get your fans interested and pack the stadium, thats what you'll have to do under Mark Cuban's Rules. The days of personal seat licenses and luxury boxes are over!

This league is expected to open within the next month as the Commissioner is currently building the website and testing out the file to ensure that there will be no problems in the long run. The league is 16 teams, 2 subleagues, 2 divisions of 4 in each subleague and filled with fictional players. Sims will run 7 days each and occur 3 days per week. Each team will play a 120 game schedule that I have had custom built by an OOTP Mod. The rules are being worked out but there is nothing out of the ordinary other than the rules listed above.

Currently, I have half of the league full with firm committments from other members of the community that I have had positive experiences with. At this point, I am simply advertising the league to get the word out that the Mark Cuban Baseball Association is coming soon. If you would like to contact me for any reason, my e-mail address is Fuhrman2408@comcast.net and my name is Bobby. I am not assigning teams right now but feel free to inquire about specific rules, settings or express interest in the league.

The logos and jerseys I will use can be found on my Photobucket. On the left hand column there is a listing of all the teams. When you click on a team name you will be taken to their logo and jersey.

I have been to an MLB game in True HD twice this season. My lowest total in over 10 years. Oh well... Got to see an August game in Yankee Stadium and was there when the Phillies clinched the division.

Will the owners be able to run onto the field to argue botched calls?

A huge thanks goes out to Razorblade for putting the logos into a much nicer format for me. Check out the logo upgrade...
