PLEEZ, bring this back! i have examples from two online leagues why this is badly needed.
In Beta Baseball, i have a player stuck on my roster. He's taken talent hits because of injuries. He's a vet so he refuses my attempts to demote him. And he has a huge long term contract; so i can't just cut him. For some reason, ignores everyone else on my roster and uses this guy to pinch hit. Three months into the season, he has more at bats than any of my other bench players; even though the other guys get more starts. And he's batting .023. That's not a typo, he's 1 for 44. And he's 0 for 32 with one walk pinch-hitting. But the AI keeps sending him up there.
A couple of seasons ago, in tMBU, after conversion, i had two players lose their defensive ratings. They were still pretty good hitters. So i figured i'd have a couple of good bats coming off the bench. Instead the AI, regularly used my only back up catcher as the first pinch hitter. And its not like the catcher was some fictional version of Mike Piazza.

i like this, too. It would be nice to get some more good news in between emails from pitchers with 1-8 records with 5.75 ERAs that think they should still be starters. (But, its cool in a crazy way that these emails annoy me. So don't take the complaining emails away.
