Image Uploads screwing up
Hey,
I run an online league, and whenever I upload the images, they don't show up on the league pages because it's case-sensitive. I change the name from capital to lowercase(ex. washington_nationals), and then the next time I upload everything, I keep the images file the same, and don't upload that. But now, it's all in Capitals(ex. Washington_Nationals). I don't understand why it keeps on switching on the HTML reports. Because of this, I have to keep on renaming the files... Help is very much appreciated. |

From what I have found the team file names are generally first letter uppercase and the players file names are all lowercase. I am not sure if this is because one is a jpg and the other are png's. I noticed a trend when I set up my league so I created a program to adjust all the lettering on the images on the server. You may want to see if you notice the same trend. Go to your league website and right-click on a non appearing image and click view image. Take note of the url link and see if the player's names are all lowercase and the team images are upper. Then adjust the files on your machine to match those. When that is done upload all the images back to the server.

I have a different problem with image uploads. A number of teams in our universe use special symbols (like accent marks) in their names. Wherever that's the case, the images won't display in the browser because the symbol causes the URL to add a bunch of funky characters in.
As an example, my single-A team is the San Luis Río Colorado Rapidos Blancos (a mouthful, I know). I've got a nifty custom image for them and everything. Unfortunately the picture shows up as broken because the "í" in "Río" has an accent in it. The browser points to this URL:Quote:
Even if I try renaming the picture on the server to include the garbledy-gook where the "í" should be, the picture still won't show. The problem is even worse in our foreign leagues, where a bunch of teams have special characters in their names. I'm guessing the answer is, "No," but is there any way to fix this so that these pictures display properly?
