A general thread of THANKS to our artists

Pile in here and compliment the guys who do such nice work.

I know that as someone who has done a lot of graphics work for various games (often wargames), guys often don't get the kudos they deserve for their work. There is a LOT of the anonymous "take what you can get for free' mentality on the web. So I wanted to post up a thread for those guys to check from time to time as sort of a continuing pat on the back.

So let me say, I think we have some really talented guys in the community. Yes, techniques are good. But what I've noticed lately is that when asked for ideas, many guys show their great originality. This is great.

It's nice for once to sit back and enjoy the fruits of labor from other people. But wanted to say it is totally appreciated from my end. And from others.

Well, I have made it a point since being here to praise the work of these talented people here but hey, I am all for a thread devoted to heaping that praise, so I will again thank them all. And yes, not only are they talented artistically but they also have a lot of creative talent as has already been stated here. And they do it so quickly when someone asks for something to be done. I have been in a lot of gaming forums where there was a lot of artistic talent from the members but I cannot remember one where people's requests were answered so quickly nor so unselfishly.
So, absolutely. A wave of the hat to all of those people. They game is so much more enjoyable with these artistic creations. Thank you all.

Absolutely! Great idea for a thread. My league would not be the same without the great creativity from the artists in this group. I have a league logo that is so terrific I just keeping using it over and over again. Plus several team logos. I've even learned a little bit here, and have been able to tweak a few stadiums to meet my needs.

I think you need to put some of the praise on Markus. He has always listened to his customers and his commitment to the community through multiple ownership changes has made quite a few of us committed to making his game the best we can. Back in 2003 we started kicking around the idea of integrating Facegen into player photos. By 2006 it was down to a science but for only those that had the software and the artistic skills to enjoy. When he and Andreas decided to bring it into the fold of the game, we just followed and the result is what everyone here now ha. I wanted to thank many of the logo creators because I have just about given up making my own custom ones because the community ones are so great.

I'm happy to re-iterate my thanks, not only to stars like Deft, Cephas and NoPepper for all their work so freely shared, but to DCHepler and EnglishRay who showed extraordinary patience in answering my endless queries when I was trying to design my own logos, uniforms etc. It's all helped to make OOTP an amazing game and an amazing community
