Rookies and Pot
Mario Chalmers and Darrel Arthur, rookie players in the NBA, were kicked out of a league orientation for rookies after being caught with marijuana in their hotel rooms. They will have to repeat the program next year and will be subject to unspecified sanctions, possibly including suspension to start the season.
Given that pot is commonplace in the NBA, is this an extreme reaction? If you're the clubs who drafted these guys (Miami and mephis respectively) how do you view this? The Associated Press: Chalmers, Arthur sent home from NBA rookie program |

Who the hell was allowed to go into their rooms? Why would they have to go through orientation in the first place? Stupid to smoke pot in an aerobic centered sport like basketball but Fuhrer Stern's NBA police state is worse.
