Game doesn't even attempt to load..

I've downloaded the demo and it won't even start to load when I click on it. I try to run the game and nothing happens whatsoever. I can't see any sort of process starting in task manager. It's as if it isn't even there, but I know I downloaded it and installed it. I am using Windows Vista if that matters for anything.

I should also note that when I first downloaded it, it would close as soon as I tried to open it and I would get a message saying "To help protect your computer Data Execution Protection has closed OOTP Baseball 9." I wouldn't even get to the main screen..it would just close on me as soon as I tried to fire up the game. I went into my settings and set up OOTP 9 to be one of the programs DEP would ignore, but after that it wouldn't even respond as I explained above.

Anybody seen anything like this yet?

I"ve got the same problem here, except that I don't have Vista but XP and I didn't get any error message everytime I installed it. Everything goes smooth until I actually try to run the game...

When I click on the OOTP icon on my desktop nothing happens. Same goes when I click on any other icon (from the folder in My Program files etc.).
I'm puzzled cos I installed the game three times and it didn't change anything. I also installed the demo and it doesn't work either.
I might add that I turned off my Norton Security center and it didn't help the cause.
My cpu is totally able to play that game since people who use it play regularly other videogames such as Football Manager, The Movies, The Sims etc.

Just to verify, how much RAM do you have, how much free hard drive space, and what is your processor speed?
