Managing Question

I was just finishing my 6th year with the Dodgers and had made it to the Playoffs the 5 previous years including 2 WS Championships. In my 6th year the team really fell off and missed the playoffs, the owner didn't put any cash out for contracts and the league was restructured to 3 divisions and a wildcard.

The season ends and all of a sudden I see job offers from all these minor league teams and a few major league teams and I was shocked, and started to look for a firing announcement and none existed.

My question is, was I fired and just not notified by the game or did some kind of contract run out and they chose not to rehire me? If not why wasn't I at least notified?

Last time I was fired by a team I got a popup saying I was fired. Please help.

LOL. Sorry, I'm not laughing at your possible bad news. Perhaps you simmed right by the notice or overlooked the message in your inbox? If you are still employed, then you can tell by looking for your team name in the top bar, next to Select League. Another way to tell is to select Manager and look for Resign from Team... If you see only Available Jobs in the drop-down menu, well, polish up your resume!

Well here is the thing, I wasn't fired. I went through all news articles and no mention of firing. I even got a message from the owner about next seasons budget!!! So I loaded up a save and did the season again. Same thing end of the year and I am out, no firing. I then made myself commish and hired myself back. We will call it a contract negotiation.

Is their some hidden contract somewhere, are they just not resigning me?

I wish i could help. I know you don't get a contract deal from the owner when you sign on with a team like all the other personnel. It would be cool if you did. The one constant seems to be you're being let go somehow. While i don't have an answer i can offer advice if you like. Check the cannot be fired box on your manager options page to at least give you relief from this occurance.
