BZ 1462: Game crashed while filtering coaches

Severity: low

I wanted to create a filter to show just coaches without a current job, so filtered by Team = '-' since that is the character the game uses in the team column in that condition. That crashed the game, but there's probably another way to accomplish this successfully.

You're right. The easiest way is to go League Menu -> Transactions -> Available Personnel.

But, I'll log this issue, because it shouldn't be throwing crashes like this. I have to run right now, but I'll log it in a bit!

Actually this appears to happen in both the Staff and Player search screen and using all kinds of filter criteria. For example, tried to do a seach for Nickname is B. And system crashed.

Seems like the custom filter options are very unstable, at least on my system. Kind of scared to conduct any searches.

FYI, I tried to perform both searches on the Mac version and had the same issue -- the program quit unexpectedly.

Appears not to be limited to the Windows version.

Crash on Filtering

Specs:

Mac OS X 10.4.11
1 GB RAM
1.67 GHz G4 PowerBook

Game crashes when trying to create a filter where the filtering item is blank.

I tried to create a filter to look for players who have Nicknames by setting a filter to show players where Nickname is not blank. Game crashes immediately.

I'm pretty sure I was able to do this on OOTP 2007 with no crash.

Not a huge deal, of course. But it needed to be noted.

Staff Search Bug

Manager --> Staff Search --> Filter --> Customize.
Then, enter text for League = xxx (where xx = name of league)
Click on OK...game CRASHS.

Same crash does not happen when some other conditions are used (say, "Scout Majors" > 3 )

8 ML teams & AAA, AA, A, and R. HS and COL feeders. Year = 1871.

As this has been logged previously, I'll move this to closed and if a mod sees it they could merge it into the BZ 1462 thread.

Crash using filter with staff search

I'm going to hire a coach for my minor league system and I'm trying to search for coach with A ball experience. I use the filter to select League and type A and it crashes every single time I click OK. I'm using historical imported rosters if that is relevant.

This issue has been claimed fixed for the upcoming patch. If after installing it you still experience this problem, please post a link to this thread in Tech Support along with an explanation of what happened so that we can re-open the report. Thanks!
