Converting OOTP9 CSV dump to lahman

Is there an easy way to do this or is it going to be a manual process? Is there a tool that does this fo you? (oh please let there be one). I'm interested because I need to edit the last names of all 5,000 players in my solo league (See my General Discussions thread for the reason) and making a lahman and importing as a historical league was one recent suggestion given to me. If I convert to lahman, would individual player histories carry over if I simply copy the player_xxxx.txt files?

Clarification of name change necessity is needed.
