Did you edit the news section and added this story? Or did the game generate this? Wow, if the game generated this then that is some realism. Josh Hamilton is a recovering addict. Too bad for him (in OOTP reality).

The game makes this stuff up. Some times, it has disturbing results.

I believe that the minimum suspension for any drug policy violation is now 15 days (for "failure to comply with treatment program" relating to recreational "drugs of abuse"); the minimum suspension for any PED violation is now 50 games.

EDIT: That's for real-world modern MLB, of course. So far I'm not running anything with drugs in baseball.

Nah I didn't edit anything, it's a new feature of OOTP 9

A new feature...

...some of which are funny....I got this one today...

Quote:
Torii Hunter's disrobing act in yesterday's 2-0 loss to the Chicago White Sox and Angel Stadium cost him a 6-game suspension. The league office informed the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim today that their center fielder would be suspended for "his poor conduct and unacceptable behavior that made a farce out of the game."

After being called out on strikes, Hunter was ejected by the home plate umpire after a heated discussion. In protest for the ejection, he proceeded to throw his bad down, take off his batting gloves, cap, shirt, socks, and shoes and left them at home plate, refusing to pick them up.

Asked about the suspension, Hunter sheepishly told reporters, "I did a stupid and embarrassing thing. Let's just leave it at that."

At least he owned up to it

I dont know. I kind of wonder if some of the players in real life got wind of these things, just wondering if they may get a little pissed. Just saying. I know I might. Course, I got mad at the computer when it gave my created self a season ending injury, a couple years back.

Wait until Cal Ripken's consecutive game streak gets interrupted for a drug suspension...
