Database file questions

Does anyone know the difference between the ethnicities.txt and the nations.txt and what they control.In the league I'm about to start,I want to have the ethnicities of incoming rookies be as they are in real life.For example,in MLB right now,player ethnicities break down roughly as follows:

Caucasian-59.5%
Latins-29.4%
African American-8.4%
Asians-2.4%

I BELIEVE that ethnicities controls names and facegen pictures. Nationalities controls hometown, and indirectly ethnicities. I've been wrong before.

By the way, a study over the winter found that % of African-Americans rose in 2008 for the first time since 1995. It was up to 10.4% last year.
