1970 Photopack

OK. So a lot of you know that I've been working on this thing sporadically for years. Well, finally I'm at the point where I'm OK with sharing what I've got so far (there's still lots of work to be done; I'm anal, OK?

).

A couple of notes (which might help explain why it has taken so long):

- Players are in the uniform of their team that they started with in 1970.

- For the vast majority of players, their photo depicts the uniform/hat style that the team used in 1970. Example, the Braves used black hats that season. No navy hats with red bills, nor royal blue with the lower case "a" allowed!

- Some players may have started the season in the minor leagues for one organization, but had major league time with another. They are pictured in the uniform of the team who owned their rights at the start of the season. For example, Jim Qualls had 9 at bats for the Expos in 1970. But he spent the first three weeks of the season at AAA for the Cubs. So he's in the pack as a Cub.

- There are a handful of players represented that might not show up in your OOTP game depending on the database that you use. Some players may have missed the entire season due to injury (like Cecil Upshaw) or military service (like Jim Bibby).

- It's possible a few minor leaguers may be hiding in the file. Oh, well.

- The following players are missing. I have photos for them, but they are being worked on. They will be making their way into the pack at some point very soon. They are:

Art Kusnyer, Floyd Wicker, Harvey Shank, Ed Phillips, Jim Johnson

- The following players are pictured with either the wrong team (in some cases I just have to add a logo to their cap):

Archie Reynolds, Bill Faul, Bob Taylor, Bob Miller, Bo Belinsky, Dooley Womack, Frank Bertaina, Fred Whitfield, Jack Hiatt, Jerry McNertney, Jerry Reuss, Jim Hutto, Mike Jackson, Mike Marshall, Ray Oyler, Tom Matchick, Wayne Twitchell

- Some pics just need to be better:

Steve Whitaker, Tom Paciorek, Wally Wolf.

I will be fixing up a lot of these guys on these lists in the coming week. In the mean time, please feel free to download the set. If you have a better pic of a player that fits the theme of the set, please post it.
